Transportation

 

1.Highway Network    

Kırıkkale is 76 km away from Ankara, and 60 km away from Ankara ring road connection. With the putting of the Elmadağ viaduct into service, the journey time has decreased, comfort and safety have increased. Ankara opens to 43 provinces on its east side through Kırıkkale by a divided highway.

With the completed Karakeçili-Kulu connection, access to the E-90 highway and the southern provinces, and with the Kalecik connection, access to the E-80 highway and the northern provinces is provided faster and more comfortably. The completion of the 432 km long Ankara-Kırıkkale-Samsun Highway will take the logistics advantages of Kırıkkale to a higher level.  

2. Airway Transportation

Located 90 km from Esenboğa Airport, which has direct flights to 43 international and 30 domestic destinations, Kırıkkale has the similar advantage as Başkent Ankara in terms of air transportation. 

3. Railway Transportation

There are two main railway line routes in Kırıkkale; the length of the railway network passing through the borders of Ankara-Kırıkkale-Kayseri-Sivas-Kars Ankara-Kırıkkale-Çankırı-Zonguldak Provinces is 97 km and there are 4 stations. The passenger trains, and the freight trains with 16 departure and 16 arrival run every day. In addition, there is RAYBUS transportation between Ankara and Kırıkkale 4 times a day (2 departures-2 arrivals). Ankara-Sivas high-speed train line, which is still under construction, passes through Kırıkkale. As the high speed train project once completed, Kırıkkale will get closer to Ankara.
